UK Responsible Business Event

UK Responsible Business Event 2012, is a business-focused event allowing us to harness our resources and the expertise of our employees and business partners to make a real difference. Each responsible business event is a non-commercial, non-money making initiative that brings nonprofits/NGOs, business leaders and corporate responsibility professionals together on a large scale.

UK Responsible Business Events are produced by UBM employee volunteers, and our business partners, committed to supporting the communities in which we do business.

Business in the Community stands for Responsible Business in the UK, and worldwide
We are a business-led charity focused on promoting responsible business practice through events. We ask our members to work together to transform communities by tackling issues where business can make a real difference. We offer our members practical support to help them to integrate responsible business practices wherever they operate.

This Video is bought to you from Challenge for Change, a leader in changing the way we conduct business responsbily by changing the means of which we get to work.

Challenge for Change was established to bring to the UK a best practice behaviour change programme that was originally developed in New Zealand. Following five successful programmes there, Challenge for Change’s founder, Thomas Stokell, created a sustainable business model to grow this programme, to get more people cycling in the UK and across the world.

Our mission is to be world leaders in designing, developing and implementing innovative and highly effective behavioural change programmes that are consistently proven to get more people cycling, more often.

The main aims of the Cycle Challenge programme are:

To encourage people who are not currently cycling to start cycling;
To encourage occasional cyclists to start cycling regularly;
To encourage people to cycle for transport purposes.
The consistently successful outcomes and high engagement levels of every Challenge delivered are achieved using behaviour change theory and social marketing principles and techniques.
